wednesday wednesday wednesday!!!!!

So that means another round of some disney ish type of digital scrapbooking supplies.
Mousescrappers.com has their new challenge up... and I am still waiting on their telephone challenge to get the layout so I can make mine. Its making me soo excited to see it.lol

Here is the challenge for the week of feb.17-23....
Welcome to this week’s MouseScrappers challenge! I’ve got a special participation prize lined up for all those who complete the requirements. You can blame the theme of this particular challenge on three things: the snow, my daughter, and the Olympics. Gotcha curious, eh?

With all of the record breaking snowfall we’ve had here in Northern Virginia my daughter was “treated” to an 11 day weekend. Yup. You heard that right. After the novelty started wearing off, she started asking to have her sewing machine set up. In order to make room for it, I needed to do the mending and repairs that had been sitting around for a while. In the process I started
unearthing half-finished quilting projects that needed to get finished. And with the start of the Olympics I’ve been spending more time at my sewing machine, sewing away while watching the games than I have digi-scrapping. So, here’s your Crazy Quilt-themed challenge (drum roll, please!) …
  1. Unearth some of those Disney-related photos that you still need to work with - four (4) photos minimum. Place them on your page in a patchwork manner - meaning that they all need to be touching each other in some way. Feel free to do extractions if you want. They always add a bit of fun! (You can use a template if you want - just make sure that all your photos touch.)
  2. Use more than one kit for your layout. With quilting - especially crazy quilts - you just gotta mix things up to achieve the look you want.
  3. Have a minimum of five (5) different papers used somehow on your page, and at least three of those must be used as strips, mats or blocks. The more the merrier!
  4. Stitch down all of your photos in one way or another. It can be tidy or messy - you choose. (I had fun playing around with Chelle’s Creations new stitch embellishments that she’s releasing on Friday.)
  5. Embellish away! Have fun with it. The fun of making a Crazy Quilt is adding the little pieces of this and that into the quilt to tell a story or to display your favorite embellishments. Don’t worry too much over them matching - be as creative as you can and just have fun!
  6. Make sure you journal and add a title of some sort (my title just happens to be an extracted photo). Date the page if you’d like.
  7. You MUST upload your completed layout to the MouseScrappers Gallery, link it back here for us to ooh and aah over, then post your LO in the correct thread on the forum. If you aren't sure where you should post your LO, check out the FAQ.
  8. Leave some love for the layout that was posted on this thread before you, placing a link to your comment to this thread.

Deadline: Midnight PST on February 23, 2010

For all those who complete a layout by the deadline who meets all of the above requirements will receive this fantastic participation prize made especially for this challenge by Jude Toone of Lil’ Digi Bits by Jude, called “Under the Sea“.

woohoo. that one sounds like fun. I ended up scrapping 9 pictures from my son Tyler & my trip in Feb of 2005. I used the first day, as it is always a tradition to use the first day as a settling in day... we explore our hotels , and go explore downtown disney. I'll have to think about what to use for this one.
Okay now onto the goodies! Just click on the highlighted names to be taken to the site. And the "freebee" is from Dede Smiths Friendz of the woods kit.

quote of the day: Caterpillar: Who are YOU?
Alice: This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. I -- I hardly know, sir, just at present -- at least I know who I was when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.
